Accounting Department Mission

The accounting department’s mission is to provide accounting services and process all accounting transactions for the Skokomish Tribal Office. Our goal is to come to a point where accurate financial information can be generated and distributed appropriately in a timely manner.

Scope of Work

The accounting department performs daily functions of collecting and accounting for taxes, receipt of grants and other income, preparing deposits, account analysis, payroll, processing purchase orders, check requests, paying vendors, monitoring and reporting on grants and budgets and various other projects to assist tribal members, staff and directors with accounting administration. We also prepare and monitor annual budgets in consultation with the Tribal Council and Tribal staff directors.

The accounting office hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm -- Monday through Friday. The accounting staff are cross trained in order to ensure that all customers are served in a timely manner.
