Skokomish Indian Tribal Enterprises (SITE), a federal corporation, is the business development arm of the Skokomish Nation. This corporation is responsible for developing and carrying out economic development planning, starting new businesses, and overseeing and operating all existing Tribal businesses to their fullest level of profitability. SITE is primarily charged with earning revenues for the Skokomish Nation and secondly creating employment opportunities for membership when possible.

Surrounding Skokomish Reservation and Mason County Economy

The Skokomish Indian Reservation is situated on a major link to the most frequently traveled tourist and recreation areas within Washington State. Within 15 miles of the Skokomish Nation are some of Mason County’s most popular scenic wonders and tourist areas. The southern Puget Sound region, along with the Skokomish Nation’s economy, has continued to steadily diversify over the past several decades, resulting in a healthy climate for business investment and development.

The Skokomish Indian Nation, located in Mason County Washington, claims the southeast corner of Olympic National Park as well as a large chunk of the Olympic National Forest. Two hundred and seventy-five (275) square miles of Mason County's land (28%) are in either the National Park or National Forest. The Skokomish Nation is well situated in this region to provide both goods and services to the hundreds of thousands of travelers annually who use either state Highway 101 or 106 for through travel or to access the multitude of camping and recreational opportunities to be found in this richly diverse geography.
